Breitbart News is reporting that The New England Journal of Medicine has retracted its article on Donald Trump and the campaign, saying that the article “ignores the scientific evidence on whether Trump or his associates were the ones behind the hacking of Democratic party emails.”

The article stated that the FBI and other intelligence agencies had concluded that Russian hackers had accessed Democratic Party computers in an attempt to help Trump win the election.

The article also stated that “Trump has repeatedly asserted that Russia did not meddle in the election and that Russia was trying to help him win the presidency.”

The report also stated “that while the United States has no direct evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, it is likely that Russia and associates have compromised or attempted to compromise US political institutions.”

Breitbart News reached out to The New Hampshire Union Leader and The New Haven Register for comment on the retracted article.

A spokesperson for The New Orleans Times-Picayune also provided Breitbart News with a statement.

“We have had no contact with the Times-Picayune about this story and have no further comment at this time,” the spokesperson said.

The New Bedford Herald-Leader also reached out for comment, and did not receive a response.
